Francis began with a poster. A strange, round face with a lightning bolt across it. Half-mysterious, half-mischievous. It felt like it knew something you didn’t. Desmond started sketching... and Francis came to life.
Unlike most of Tiki Tube Amps, Francis wasn’t carved from a single block. His cubist, blocky form was built, piece by piece, using laminated California redwood boards. Every limb, every joint, was assembled with traditional furniture-making techniques. Think sculpture meets cabinetry meets sci-fi folk art, a fusion that took 200 hours of craftsmanship to bring to life.
Behind his calm stare and lightning grin hides a full custom amp circuit. Much of the wiring runs invisibly through internal chambers, planned before a single cut was made.
Redwood gave him a warm, glowing finish, and a calm gravity that balances his playful shape. Francis is a one-of-a-kind sculpture but you can make it yours with a custom finish in the color of your choice. Just ask.
Francis is part art, part artifact. And entirely unlike anything else.
